The objectives of the Internal Complaint Committee to Prevent Sexual Harassment of Women at the Workplace are as follows:
- To create social awareness about the problems of women and in
particular regarding gender discrimination. - To develop the self-confidence of Women.
- To directs Women’s role in the society. To develop multidisciplinary approach for the overall personality development.
- To organize seminars, workshops relating to women development.
- To promote general well-being of female students, teaching and non-teaching women staff of the College.
Activities
- St. Marys polytechnic college,valliyode,palakkad is committed to
providing safe academic and working environment to all students and its women employees. As per the guidelines of Supreme Court, UGC, Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition & Redressal) Act, 2013, an Internal Complaints Committee has been established in the College. - On March 7, 2024, St. Mary’s Polytechnic College in Valliyode observed International Women’s Day. Women’s empowerment and gender issues sensitization were the goals of the Women’s Day celebration. Mrs. Usha Mathew, an entrepreneur, was the day’s guest speaker. She inspired the audience with her story of overcoming obstacles and succeeding in a field that was dominated by men. In her remarks, she stressed the value of women standing by one another and cooperating to create a future where there is greater equality.
