The objective is to strengthen the connections between industry and the Institute, as well as to encourage diverse industrial activities for both the Institute’s students and faculty.
Activities and achievements
- Established 13th November 2019.Appointed a board of members for the regular growth of the committee and planned to conduct meetings in regular intervals.
- The cell put its great effort on making MoUs with industries for mutual benefit. Now 12 MoUs were existing with the companies.
- One of the other achievement of the cell is collaboration with the CSR Initiative of Jasmine -Jos Alukkas.
- The cell plays a lead role in Industry Academia Collaboration with Bosch Ltd.
- The cell focuses on the training of the students for the industries through the programme BMW SKILLNEXT Program.
- The cells points that the interships have a crucial role in developing an industry oriented culture in students.So the cell concentrates its activities on getting the right oppurtunities for the internship for students.
- The cell identifies the role of startups and entrepreneurship development,seminars were organised on these topics by industry experts and officers from different departments on 2023-2024 academic year.
- The cell joined its hands with the placement cell to achieve good campus placement for students.
- Workshops were conducted on trending technologies on Electric vehicles and 3D printing on 2023-2024 academic year.
A board meeting is scheduled in February of this academic year and have agenda to smoothening the gap with industry and academics.
