An anti drug campaign on behalf of Excise department was conducted on 16/10/2023.A short drug awareness class was also provided for a small group of students.These drug awareness classes are conducted to promote community service and social awareness. NSS aim to educate participants about the dangers of drug abuse, its impact on individuals and communities, and ways to prevent and address substance abuse issues

As part of NSS, the students of Valliyode St. Mary’s Polytechnic College cleaned the area of Vadakkencherry Police Station and arranged the cars that were caught there in a compact manner and cleared the entire forested area. A 34 member team consisting of 29 boys and 5 girls led the cleaning work under the leadership of Programme Officers Vijin Sir and Prasin Sir.

A 7 day camp was organised from 23.12.23 to 29.12.23 @ IHRD College Vadakkencherry.The camp aims at enhancing the abilities of individuals.
January
On January 24, 2024, a significant event marked the inauguration of Sneharamam, a transformative project undertaken by the NSS Unit 297. This initiative aimed to convert a waste dumping spot into a clean, green space adorned with flowers and trees. The event was graced by the presence of Reverend Father Mathew Illathuparambil, who formally inaugurated Sneharamam, symbolizing a beacon of hope and community-driven change.
